In the past Samsung has teamed up with various companies to produce handsets that have a blend of expertise, Adidas , Armani and Bang & Olufsen.  Now with the Samsung F400 they once again teamed up with Bang & Olufsen to produce a audio masterpiece.

Aesthetics
The Samsung F400 is a dual slider phone, sliding the front up you are revealed the keypad while sliding the front down you will be met by the Bang & Olufsen ICEpower audio enhanced speaker. This is all packaged up a glossy black fascia and a metal body. It has a 2.2 inch screen capable of displaying 262,000 colours, as well as the usual function keys, camera, music, call buttons . All packaged up and weighing in at 105 g and only 16.9 mm thick.

Samsung F400 ReviewUsability
The Samsung F400 keypad has a solid feel however the directional pad is somewhat loose. The extra buttons on the Samsung Therefore hundred me get into all major functions quick and easy, as well as the ones mentioned above there are ones of video calls located just above the keypad which can be sometimes frustrating when quickly typing in an SMS. The Samsung F400 scroll wheel also doubles up as a radio frequency changer and volume control depending on which part of the device you're using, the volume control seems a little excessive as there are already dedicated volume buttons on the side of the device. We felt when using the device in a sunny or bright environment the screen was particularly difficult to see.

Features and Performance
The Samsung F400 has a rather impressive music recognition system that will recognize and identify the song and artist from simply playing a 10 second music clip.It can clearlymultiple file formats including MP3, unprotected AAC and WMA It is also capable of downloading album art before giving you the option to buy it for approximately three pounds from the Samsung mobile library which to date has 4000 tracks.  This can be stored on their included 1 GB memory card or you can opt to purchase up to 4 GB memory card.It only comes with a 24 MB of internal memory however which is rather small.  And to listen to music in comfort it also comes with a native 3.5 millimetre Jack which is unusual for many phones  but it is nicer have the option to use any headphones of your choice.  The Samsung F400 also comes with a three megapixel camera in testing however the camera proved to be of a substandard especially compared to audio capabilities of the phone although it does also have a rather nifty multishot capability that can do up to nine shots depending on length of time you hold the button.  The Samsung F400 does have HSDPA thus providing speedy downloads and webpages.  However there is no option to change the view thus you will have to rely on portrait view 100% of the time, you can however adjust the size of the page and thus enables you to zoom in to specific parts .

Advantages
Obviously the sound system provided by Bang & Olufsen .

Disadvantages
The substandard pictures provided by the three megapixel camera.

Conclusion
The Samsung F400 is a phone too consider if you're looking for a decent music phone but have no wish of a decent camera. People will be impressed by its dual slide action and in the utterance of the name  Bang & Olufsen .
